
The Tidewater & Richmond Golfweek Amateur Tour's took to Golden Horseshoe Green Golf Club in Williamsburg, VA for the Year's Kick Off Tournament. Thanks to our Tournament Sponsor The 1631 Burgers Bourbon and Brew.
The tournament brought some tough conditions on Saturday, icy rain drizzle and cold temps made for a tough day on the links. With a field of 110 players on the course for the Frostbite Challenge. Congrats to all the Flight winners and Day Money winners.
In the Championship Flight, Dennis Nelson (72) won by four strokes over Mike Hartselle (76). Nelson took control with a 35 (1-under Par on the back nine at Golden Horseshoe. Rounding out the Tournament Prizes was Thomas Sutterfield (81).
In the A Flight, Alfred Everett (79) won by one stroke to claim his first TOUR VICTORY. Coming in second was Bords Alingig (80), and Carlos Quinones (80). Rounding out the Tournament Prizes was Thomas Dobrick (81), and Bradley Miller (82).
In the B Flight, Bob Nipp (81) took home the victory over Timothy VanSickle (82). Coming in third was David Hotze (83). Rounding out the Tournament Prizes was Matt Brookman (84), Chris Strait (85).
In the C Flight, Mario Jones (85) took home the victory over Roger Claytor (87), John Parrish (87), & Donovan Mahiai (87). Rounding out the Tournament Prizes was Todd Lorenz (89).
In the D Flight, Wayne Blaasch (89) took home the victory over Forest Maitland (91). Coming in third was Glen Sweitzer (95). Rounding out the Tournament Prizes was Edward Sitko (96), Ben Pancho (96).
