The second new issue is titled Golf Life in July and will feature in-depth stories and interviews with the movers, shakers and personalities that drive the business and sport of golf. We are excited about the new schedule and plan to bring the same style of expert, in-depth journalism that you expect from Golfweek..

WEDGEFIELD ON A DRY DAY!!

The Charleston tour made their way back up to Beautiful Wedgefield in Georgetown for their second trip to play this unique and interesting golf course. Although it was a smaller field, we had plenty of outstanding golf. We also had superb weather!!

The Championship flight saw Mike Cobb come out firing on all cylinders recording an even par 36 on the front while birding the last three holes to shoot 2 under on the back nine enabling him to cruise to an 8 shot victory.

The A flight also had some stellar play as Mark Ducker birdied the first three holes to get a comfortable lead but Dan Wanner kept the pressure on.  The difference was the hot start as Mark recorded a two shot victory over Dan.

The B flight saw the same two shot difference as Tim Sumption Birdied 17 and 18 to go two up on Jason Courtney who fired a smooth round of 80.  With his victory Tim earned a promotion to the A flight.

The C flight had three guys tangoing for the lead all dayDavid Deese, Kasey Reader and our friend from Augusta, Kelvin Hughes all posted super rounds.  David fired an 87 to finish one-shot back and out of the playoff.  Kasey and Kelvin in the playoff that was won by Kelvin on the first hole.

The D flight saw another player earn a promotion as Justin Miller had a great round of 88 to cruise to a 10-shot victory over Danny Alexander.

The next event is this Sat at Berkeley Country Club.  Please sign up now as we have room for 17 more players.  Tim
