To all Golfweek Amateur Tour Members,

 

On behalf of the entire Golfweek organization, I want to thank you for your membership of the Golfweek Amateur Tour.  We are incredibly proud of our relationship with what we feel is the best option for organized amateur competition for folks like you and me. 

 

I am writing to inform you of some changes to our magazine frequency and format for 2021. Our plan is to publish four issues in 2021 including our annual Golfweek’s Best in April and Ultimate Guide in December. In addition to these two issues, we will publish a new issue called Get Equipped in February that will highlight everything new in the game for 2021 including equipment, gear, places to visit and more. The second new issue is titled Golf Life in July and will feature in-depth stories and interviews with the movers, shakers and personalities that drive the business and sport of golf. We are excited about the new schedule and plan to bring the same style of expert, in-depth journalism that you expect from Golfweek..

Up next is the National Finals in Hilton Head Island, SC.  If anyone is interested in playing, register and pay soon to reserve your spot.  It is a 3 day competition with over 1000 players in 5 different flights from around the country.  The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 18.  If you have any questions, let me know.

I will be sending out Ryder Cup news in the next couple weeks.  We are scheduled for it to be held at Shell Landing in Gautier, MS on December 7th & 8th.  The top 4 in points in each flight will get automatic invites.  If those players decline, I will go down the list until we have a full roster.

I am working on the schedule for the 2025 season and should have everything finalized by Thanksgiving.  Stay tuned for the full release, but the first tournament of the season is already booked at FarmLinks on Sunday, March 9th.  We will have 60 spots for this one and I fully expect it to sell out quickly, so don't wait to register once it is open for registration.
