To all Golfweek Amateur Tour Members,

 

On behalf of the entire Golfweek organization, I want to thank you for your membership of the Golfweek Amateur Tour.  We are incredibly proud of our relationship with what we feel is the best option for organized amateur competition for folks like you and me. 

 

I am writing to inform you of some changes to our magazine frequency and format for 2021. Our plan is to publish four issues in 2021 including our annual Golfweek’s Best in April and Ultimate Guide in December. In addition to these two issues, we will publish a new issue called Get Equipped in February that will highlight everything new in the game for 2021 including equipment, gear, places to visit and more. The second new issue is titled Golf Life in July and will feature in-depth stories and interviews with the movers, shakers and personalities that drive the business and sport of golf. We are excited about the new schedule and plan to bring the same style of expert, in-depth journalism that you expect from Golfweek..

Tampa Tour Donations Collected 2024 Season - $1,160.00

 

NATIONALS TEAM CUP CHALLENGE                       
  • Team Cup scores are calculated using the lowest two scores from each flight in each round of the National Championship.
  • The two lowest scores from each flight/each day are combined to constitute a three-day score for each Local Tour and the lowest overall Team Cup score is crowned the winner!




 

 

 

NATIONALS DIRECTORS CUP

Each director participating in the Nationals will compete for the 2024 National Director’s Cup. A Director’s Cup will be awarded for each flight, provided at least two directors are competing in that flight. The winner in each flight will be determined by the lowest three-day total score (or two-day total for seniors) and will be recognized during the final award ceremony at the scoreboard.        

 

 

 

HOW OUR
TOURNAMENTS WORK

TOURNAMENT PRIZE BREAKDOWN:


Payout in ALL flights will be in the form of VISA
GIFT CARDS
. Payouts will be BASED on the Number of Participants in each
flight.


All First-Place ties will result in a playoff. All other
ties will be DECIDED by tour Guidelines.


CASH GAMES: OPTIONAL SIDE GAMES


FLIGHT SKINS GAMES ($15.00): If you are the only
player to Post a Birdie or BETTER on any hole during the tournament, you
WIN a skin! Flight Skins may be modified based on number of Players per
Flight at that tournament.


SUPER SKINS ($15.00): If you are the only
player to Post a Birdie or BETTER on any hole during the tournament, you
WIN a skin!


UNCLAIMED SKINS: Any unclaimed skins
will be brought to each tournament until claimed.


SKINS DISCREPANCY: Any skins discrepancy
must be handled prior to all skins being paid out for that tournament.  Leaving a tournament with a skins discrepancy
and after all skins have been paid out forfeits your right to the skin.


CLOSEST TO PIN: Always included (except
Florida Regional). Two CTP at every tournament.


HOLE IN ONE POT: One time $5.00 payment
until someone wins then it will start over. 
If no one wins the pot during the season, at the end of the season,
money goes towards the purchase of team shirts for anyone going to Nationals.

POINT WINNERS


FLIGHT POINTS WINNER- At the END of
the SEASON, there will be a Points Winner in each Flight. Points can be
attained by playing in Regionals, Local Tours or other GWAT events. ALL Points
that are obtained will be used.  As
Flight Winner, you will have your Tampa Tournament Membership paid for the
following season and receive a VISA gift card in an amount to be determined by
how many players play each event. (Ex. $2.00 per player goes in the pot for
each flight so if A Flight has 10 players for 1 tournament, $20.00 goes into
the pot.  PAYOUTS will be for Top
1-3 points leaders based on amount in pot).


PLAYER OF THE YEAR- Be the overall points
leader from Champ flight to D flight. Points can be attained by playing in
Tampa Tour events ONLY. As player of the year, you have your National
Tour Championship fees paid for if you attend, Tampa Tournament Membership paid
for the following season, team dinner at Nationals ($50.00 value) and receive a
Player of the Year trophy. (these winnings cannot be transferred).
