FORSYTH, PARKER WIN FOR SECOND STRAIGHT TOURNAMENT
MISSION INN RESORT
A warm spring day greeted the players of the Golfweek Amateur Tour at the El Campeon course at Mission Inn. After the early morning fog lifted, the course that many of our players always rank high on their list gave them all they could handle. There was plenty of good competition including a 3-way playoff n C flight.
Championship Flight: John Ward led the field with a fine round of 2-under 70. He posted a three shot win over Tampa member Roc Irey who put up 73. Chad Frank finished third with a 75. Ward and Irey also won first and second in Senior Championship flight. Ed Paterniti finished third.

A Flight:: Donald Dunivant was the only player to break 80 as his 79 was good for a one stroke victory over Robbie Robinson and Mark Farrow..John Fry shot 82 for fourth. Dunivant and Robinson finished first and second respectively in the Senior A Flight..
Dan Seidenfaden (L) Won B Flight and Po Lehman Won D flight at Mission Inn
B Flight: Veteran Dan Seidenfaden shot 83 to squeezed out a one stroke win over Chuck Jaqueth (84). Two players Russell Outram & Mike Ferretti) tied for third with 87's. In Senior B Flight, Chet Parker won for the second event in a row. He shot 87 and edged Dan Gardner by a single shot.
C Flight: Chase Forsyth needed a playoff this time, but he won for the second straight time. He shot 89 to match Bryan Bowman and Don Welch. They returned to the tough 18th hole for the playoff where Chase prevailed on the first extra hole.(89). Joe Porter was another stroke back with 90.
D Flight: Po Lehman (Tampa) captured first place after shooting 97. It was good for a six shot win over Brandon Prokop. Rich Williams was third with 104.
