JOHN WARD FIRES 68; ALEX SANDOR TOPS A-FLIGHT WITH 71

       On        a perfect day for golf, several Golfweek Amateur Tour/Orlando players put up some great scores at Falcon's Fire.  The highlight was Jude Bien-Aime scoring a hole-in-one on the 8th hole.  His six iron shot found its way to the bottom of the cup.  The ace propelled him to a 77 and a first place finish in the B flight--the first time he played in B flight after earning a promotion from C flight at Southern Dunes.

Championship Flight:  The course was in great shape and John Ward found it to his liking as he posted a fine round of 68.  It included four birdies, an eagle and two bogeys.  He cruised to a five stroke win over Rafael Abad .  Kelly Ballard was next with 74 and Erik Hansen took fourth with 75.

Alex Sandor Shoots 71 To Top A-Flight

A Flight:  Tour veterran Alex Sandor held the hot hand in A-flight at Falcon's Fire as he used an eagle 3 on #14 to push him to a 1-under par 71.  It was the best performance but not the only good one as Donald Dunivant and Rene Brown posted 2-over par 74's to tie for second.  Two players—Bob Hodges and Paul Cope tied for fourth with 77's.

B Flight:  As mentioned earlier Jude Biene-Aime led the way in B flight with his 77.  But he was not the only one to break 80 as Neil Corbett shot 79 to claim second.  Ray Rodriguez was another four shots back in third with 83.  Mike Ferretti and Michael Coyle were tied fourth after shooting 85.

C Flight:  Nick Judkins won for the second time in C flight.  He put up a solid 86 to record the victory. Dan Tipton shot 87 for second.  Chase Forsyth, Chuck Jaqueth and Britt Thompson all shot 90.  The victory earned Judkins a promotion to B-Flight for Eagle Creek.

Jason Goetz Wins at Falcon's Fire, Takes Lead in D-Flight Points List

D Flight:  Jason Goetz topped the D-Flight with 92.   Brandon Prokop was second after 96.
