Playoff
It was a another hot summer day as the Orlando
Golfweek Amateur Tour teed it up at Eagle Creek. Christian Vozza
returned to the tour in style. After missing the last few events,
Christian wasted little time finding the victory circle as he shot a steady
round of 35-36-71, two under on the par-73 course to win Championship flight.
Bill Shufelt shot even par to finish second. Doug
Powell, playing for the first time in 2012 was third (74)..
A-flight
was just an old fashioned shoot out as 17 players shot between 75-83. It was
Ed Paterniti who shot 75 to lead the way. Robbie
Robinson played in the first group and shot 76 and waited as nearly all
the groups came in before Paterniti posted his score with only one more group of
A-flight to finish. Three players were at 77,
one at 78 and six more at 79!
Both Paterniti and Robinson
double in the senior-A flight, so they were 1-2 there as well.
David Parker was third in senior-A.
Ray Rodriguez is riding a hot hand
right now. Coming off a victory at Black Diamond Ranch on Monday, he backed it
up with a sizzling 78 at Eagle Creek. The win pushed him to the top of the
B-flight standings for Player of the Year. Tim Sobitz fired an
80 for second place. Stege Wheller from the Atlanta tour and
Neil Corbett tied for third on 82.
Ray Rodriguez also won the senior B-flight. Tim
Sobitz (80) and John Cruise (80) tied for second. In
C-flight John McLaurin shot 80 for first place. He earned a
promotion to the B flight. Bryan Bowman's 83 took second place
while Don Welch shot 85 to finish third.
Brandon Prokop Wins

leader Joshua Johnson each shot 87's to tie for D-flight's top
spot. They headed back out tor a playoff. It lasted two holes before Brandon

little.

the A flight with a nice 76. Dennis Cargo finished three strokes
back to tie for second among Orlando players with Brandon
