ANDY BAKER FIRES 71 TO TOP A-FLIGHT AT HARMONY
Andy Baker Takes A-flight at Harmony
Andy Baker was the star of the day at Harmony. He fired an impressive 71 to take top honors in the A flight. On a day when low scores were everywhere, he beat Steve Cleary and John Marshall by 3 strokes. Marvin Pressley posted 75--a score that wins most weeks in A flight--to finish fourth. Cleary's performance (74) pushed his AGT index to 3.4 and he accepted a promotion to finish the season in Championship flight.
In Championship flight tour veteran Travis Griffin won a one hole playoff with first time player and prospective member Garrett Morrison. It was Travis' first win of the season. They tied with 1-undeer 71's from the 7000 yard Blue tees. Cory Walker missed the playoff by a shot with his 72. Eric Baker and John Henry were another two back, tied for 4th.
In B flight, Subernia Johnson posted her first win of the year. A fine round of 79 was good for a two stroke win over Ray Rodriguez and Jim Kenney.
C flight continues to be one of the most competive flights week in and week out. This week it was Randolph Hill who came out on top. His 85 beat Jacksonville member Brian Neal by 3 shots. The top six finishers in C flight were between 85 & 91. Great stuff!
In D flight, Chase Forsyth took the top spot for the second week in a row. His victory put him back on the top of D flight and it means that the Player of the Year won't be decided until the last event at Eagle Creek. Alberto Esperon took second place with 97, which edged past Brandon Prokop and Leslie Gray who both came in with 98's.
Seniors--Jim Hammons shot 75 to take first in Senior Championship play. Arnie Guerra (77) edged past Jeff Bradshaw (78) in Senior A. Ray Rodriguez's 81 was good for a one shot win over Chet Parker in Senior B.
The regular season closes September 17 at Eagle Creek.
